Accessory mirror mounted just below the eyepiece.
The mirror can be rotated out to obliquely illuminate the crossed wires in the eyepiece. (The objective in this specimes does not have these wires).
An Abbe camera lucida ("Chambre claire") can be placed on the upper body tube.
