The microscope body presses into this cantilever brass mount. Coarse focus is accomplished by sliding the body through the mount.
Fine focus is via this thumbscrew control and a fine-pitch screw that moves the body support up or down.
A compass joint at the top of the supporting double pillars allows the microscope to be tilted to any position.
The sample stage is square and has both slide clips intact. Stage is 9x9cm.
