Comparison of Microscope #20 to two Nuremberg microscopes in the Golub collection. All three consist of cardboard body tubes covered with decorated paper and end caps of turned softwood. They have identical optics consisting of the eye and field lenses mounted in a cardboard draw tube, and the single objective lens mounted in a softwood end piece. A major difference is the presence of the iron "eyepiece cap" in microscope #20. This piece, however, appears to have been made separately from the microscope body.
