The microscope optics consist of A: the objective (each a single biconvex lens), B: the field lens (dia=25mm, f=55mm) and C: a Ramsden eyepiece.
The Lieberkuhn objective has the lens (arrow) set in the objective body and maintained in place with the blackened aperture collar.
The eyepiece is mounted in the drawtube. The Field lens is at one end and the two-lens Ramsden eyepiece screwed into the other end.
The gimbaled mirror is mounted on a metal pin that presses into a hole in the support shaft.
There are three low-magnification objectives and one high-mag mounted in the Lieberkuhn.
