Microscope optics consist of A: Objective lens; B: field lens, and single biconvex eye lens. At the top is a brass shutter-cap. The cap was described by Culpeper as a "Slyding-Head".
The Field lens (dia=38mm) is placed at the distal end of the L.v. eyepiece assembly.
The objective lenses are marked with notches. They are all biconvex.
