The Microscope Historical Society
The MHS is a USA-based, international group of people with a common interest in the history of the microscope as a scientific instrument, an object of beauty, and a collectible. We welcome to the group all individuals interested in the microscope or its applications, past and present. The Journal is published annually, and is distributed to all members of the Society.

Greetings to Members of the Microscope Historical Society,

We are hereby informing subscribers of the Journal of the Microscope Historical Society that we will suspend publication again this year (2012/13). Publication next year will be determined by the available time we have to produce this volume, and also the willingness of authors to contribute articles. Accordingly, those who might be contemplating an article for next year should very soon inform me of this (please also provide subject and approximate length), so I can factor this response into our decision for 2013. There is, however, no assurance that we will be able to do so; editing, publishing, and tracking finances, correspondence and subscription lists, is a lot of work during the holiday season when there are many other tasks competing for limited time.

Regardless of our decision for next year, we do wish to thank all those who have contributed and supported the Journal over the years!

Again, anyone interested in assisting in this endeavor next year is welcome to contact us.

Sincerely,

Dan & Dianne Kile
