Microscope No. 41 consists of a large main body tube (A) and an upper drawtube (B). The microscope screws into the top of the combination support and focus pillars (C) which are supported upright by the massive brass tripod legs (D).
The stage is rectangular with two slide clips. There are no extra holes or mounts for attaching accessories.
The mechanical body consists of a round main support pillar (A) and a square shaft (B). The stage and mirror assembly are attached to the square shaft. The focus rack is machined into this shaft as well.
The entire microscope is supported on a tripod leg assembly. It screws into the bottom of the round support pilar. The legs fold for storage.
