Components of the Drum Microscope
The instrument consists of the base, friction sleeve (for focusing), and illuminating mirror, plus the compound microscope itself:
A: Objectives and conical objective tube
B: Field lens and intermediate tube. The lens is held in place by a retaining ring.
C: Eyepiece lens and eyecup.
