The mirror is attached to the main support pillar via a sliding brass block. The block is fixed using a jam screw (arrow). The scroll-shaped mirror support is fixed to the block via a thumbscrew (A).
The mirror has only one (parabolic) reflective surface. Diameter = 6.3cm. The mirror frame and gimbal support are made of a black metal, not brass.
